SWB Studios was established in 1991 by Steve Foster, a long time racer and vintage auto racing enthusiast. Growing up in Southern California during the 60's and 70's, Steve was, of course, influenced by the horsepower wars being waged in the showrooms and on the racetracks. A native California artist with a life long passion for the automobile and motor sports, Steve has owned and restored such famous marques as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, and Shelby.
He has competed at such diverse venues as Ascot Park and Riverside Raceway. He received formal training in art earning a bachelor of fine arts, and accrued extensive road experience during his ten years in the California Highway Patrol. As an artist, Steve's expertise and affection for the automobile is revealed in his attention to detail and accuracy of form. The majority of his work is in watercolor, a medium leaving no margin for error.
SWB provides the enthusiast with unique apparel and artwork that you won't find anywhere else. Whether it is a commissioned painting of a special vehicle or a one-of-a-kind t-shirt, SWB can provide it. Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, and Shelby are just some of the marques you will find in the SWB collection of art and apparel.
Steve is an active member of the Porsche Club of America, The Porsche Owners Club, Vintage Auto Racing Association, The Viper Club of America, and the BMW Car Club of America. In addition, Steve has worked for many years with the L.A. Shelby and Cobra Clubs.
