There were four antique automobile enthusiasts who found themselves together in the Cape Canaveral area, but there was no local club for them to enjoy. So, these hardy souls, in the year 1964, formed a new club, which they called the Antique Auto Club of Cape Canaveral. As their numbers began to increase, they decided to have their first activity - a picnic - and twenty-five people attended. Exciting, wasn't it!!! In early 1965 they decided to formalize the club, and they obtained a charter from the state. Pretty soon, other old car lovers heard about the new club, and it grew, and grew, and grew! They began to have other activities such as parades, tours, car shows, and more picnics. A newsletter, the Nuts and Bolts, was started, and continues as our regular monthly newsletter.
