Total Flow Products was founded by Steve Sanchez in January of 1979 with the desire to build a top quality race engine cylinder head for a variety of motorsports. Along the way Total Flow Products has helped many companies and racers develop cylinder head programs. One example is the development and preparation work that Steve did for Dart Machinery and World Products. Total Flow Products also prepared and helped to develop the V-6 Buick cylinder heads for the mid 1980s IndyCar race program.
Total Flow Products has been preparing Hemi cylinder heads for Top Fuel Dragsters and Funny Cars since 1982. While Dart Machinery and Brad Anderson can claim they manufactured the cylinder heads that were on Roland Leong's Hawain Punch Funny Car (first 290 MPH Funny Car 1991) and on Kenny Bernstein's Budwiser King Top Fuel Dragster (first 300 MPH Top Fuel Dragster 1992), it was the preparation work of Total Flow Products that made the difference. In 1992, no one else went 300 miles per hour except for Kenny Bernstein with Total Flow Products cylinder heads.
Twenty years of experience in preparing and repairing Top Fuel Hemi cylinder heads has led Total Flow Products to design and manufacture a top quality Top Fuel Hemi cylinder head of their own.
All the while Total Flow Products has prepared many record holding NHRA Stock and Super Stock cylinder heads, along with short oval track heads, offshore boat cylinder heads, sports car, street rod, and motorcycle cylinder heads for many different racers and engine builders throughout the United States.
