En tant qu'organisme à caractère international affilié à la Fédération Internationale Automo-bile (FIA) et à l'Alliance Internationale du Tourisme (AIT), l'Automobile et Touring Club du Liban, connu sous l'abréviation A.T.C.L, le plus vieux club du Liban, a été fondé en 1919. Officiant d'abord à Beyrouth, l'A.T.C.L bénéficie, par décret présidentiel, de l'exploitation d'un terrain de 40 000m2 et d'un plan d'eau de 60 000m2, sis à Kaslik, inauguré en juin 1969.
L'Automobile et Touring Club du Liban passe de 200 membres en 1968 à 3 000 membres en 1972. Aujourd'hui, l'A.T.C.L compte plus de 9 000 adhérents adultes, adolescents et enfants.
Formant avec tous les Automobile Clubs et les Touring Clubs du monde un vaste réseaux, l'A.T.C.L a fait face à toutes ses obligations tant au niveau de son organisation que de l'importance de ses services. L'Automobile et Touring Club du Liban est aujourd'hui interna-tionalement reconnu comme étant le club le plus actif et le plus référencé des clubs de la ré-gion.
