Power City International Trucks was started in 1973 by Ed Wise, a former employee of what is now known as International Truck & Engine Corporation.
Since 1973, the business has undergone continuous growth, which includes acquisitions in Jackson, Kalamazoo and Muskegon Michigan, South Bend, Elkhart and Ft. Wayne Indiana, and Cleveland, Walton Hills and Akron Ohio.
To expand service capabilities beyond the sale of International trucks, Power City International became a member of Idealease, the third largest member owned leasing company in North America, in 1987 and a distributor of school busses for Integrated Coach (IC) Corporation in 1993.
Currently, Power City International has grown from a single location with sales in the first year totaling 1.2 million, to a company with 80 million in sales.
