Car show's 50th edition in Hornell today 4th June, 2006 The number "50" figures prominently in this event today. The 50th Anniversary Antique & Classic Car Show will hand out 50 trophies today when it takes place at Shawmut Park in Hornell. The event is sponsored by the Chemung Valley Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America. Gates open at 10 a.m., with cars in place by 1 p.m. and trophies given out at 3 p.m. Spectators get in free and also can peruse the flea market of car parts and crafts. Also offered will be raffles, refreshments and a bake sale. Cars from 1956 to 1981 also will be on display. Car owners can register their cars for the show on Sunday for $7.
