Automobile Transport Draft Law Developed in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr I. Alizadeh / A draft law stipulating for legal, organizational and economic basis for automobile transport, passenger and cargo transportations was developed in Azerbaijan. The draft law on Automobile Transport was discussed at the meeting of the Azerbaijani permanent parliamentary commission on economic policy on 14 December.
The chair of the commission Ziyad Samadzadeh said that the draft law was forwarded to the Parliament by the President Ilham Aliyev.
The draft law regulates the relations among the state bodies, transporters and consumers in the field of automobile transport, passenger and cargo transportations.
The draft law envisages setting of norms and regulations for activities in this field, development of entrepreneurship, support from the State, preservation and development of free and competitive environment, as well as reflects the security issues, implementation of unified tariff policy meting the interests of passengers and transporters.
After discussion, the commission approved of the draft law and recommended it for discussion at the first reading in the Parliament.
