Shelby Mustang
 The
Shelby Mustang is a partnership between the Ford Motor Company and
the ex racing car driver Carroll Shelby. The Ford Mustang and Carroll
Shelby performance vehicles were first produced in 1966. They are
a limited edition release of the Ford Mustang, modified to be a high
performance American muscle car.
Carroll Shelby International is now a NASDAQ listed company that produces
high performance car parts and accessories. The company was known
as "Shelby American". Along with the successful Ford Mustang
Shelby series of cars, is the series of Shelby Cobra vehicles.
The Ford Shelby Mustang was produced in 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969 and
1970. The Shelby and Ford relationship was terminated in 1970. The
relationship began again in 2006, with releases also in 2007 and 2008
(Shelby GT-H, Shelby GT, and Ford Shelby GT500 model vehicles).
